At your arrival at the airport, we will have a briefing about the city while going to Explorama's port. This will be a 40-kilometer journey by boat through the Amazon river until Ceiba Tops. Ceiba Tops has air-conditioned rooms with private toilet (hot water included), that will make you feel at home right in the middle of Bosque Lluvioso (Spanish for "Rainy Forest"). In the afternoon, we will wander around a beautiful forest of huge trees, like the kapok tree (Ceiba pentandra). The refuge got its name from this tree. After dinner, we will listen to some local music with guitars and flutes at the bar "El Tucán". Our guides are also always ready to tell you some stories and legends involving the Amazon.

Early excursion for those who want to do some birdwatching. After breakfast, we will have a boat excursion in search of the two types of dolphins found in the river: the gray and the pink dolphins. Then, we will go to a small community of the natives Yaguas, where their guide will explain us about their culture. We will have the opportunity to admire some of their crafts and a watch a demo of their skills with the blowpipe. In fact, some of the Yaguas still use this tool for hunting. In the afternoon, we will visit the town of Indiana and, if the weather allows it, we will enjoy the sunset from the Amazon river.

We will have two options: whether we explore more of the Amazon rainforest (by foot or by boat), whether we have some free time to enjoy the refuge's facilities. We will return to Iquitos so that you can board your flight. Lunch (if you have enough time before departure).
