Upon your arrival at Cusco airport, we will take you to the hotel of your choice, where you will enjoy some coca tea. You will have the morning free to become acclimatized. In the afternoon, we will visit the Cathedral of Cusco, Koricancha (the Temple of the Sun) and the archeological sites of Sacsayhuaman fortress, Kenko amphitheater and the water sources in Tambomachay. We will also enjoy a panoramic view of Puca Pucara red fortress. 

Your journey through the Sacred Valley of the Incas begins! We will visit the town of Pisaq, where we will see the trade of local products, as well as the traditional crafts fair. You will have time to buy some products. After having lunch in a tourist restaurant in the valley, we will continue through the Urubamba river banks. We will marvel at some beautiful landscapes until our arrival at the military fortress of Ollantaytambo, we will visit its Sun Temple (built out of six gigantic granite monoliths) as well as other main enclosures. On our way back to Cusco, we will stop at the town of Chincheros to visit its traditional crafts market, see the female knitters showing their skills, visit its church, etc.

09:00 hrs. We will take you to the Temple of the Sun or Koricancha to see the Inca and his Court leave, which marks the launch of the “Inti Raymi”, then we will go to Huaqaypata or Plaza de Armas (main square). To follow the celebration, we will take you to the sacred site of Sacsayhuaman.

13:30 hrs. From a preferential location, you will admire the staging of this important ceremony, which lasts 90 minutes. You will not miss the rite of the New Fire, the rite of the Coca, the offerings to the Four Suyos (Regions) and the prediction of future times, among other plays. Then you will see different dances from the four regions and from guest dance troupes. We will provide you a lunch box.

In the morning, we will take you to the train station to begin your journey to the citadel of Machu Picchu, one of the seven wonders. Once in Aguas Calientes, we will take the bus (30 minutes) up to the historic sanctuary of Machu Picchu. We will start our guided tour in the Inca citadel, where we will visit the main enclosures of the urban and agricultural areas. Then we will go back to Aguas Calientes to have lunch and buy some souvenirs. At the agreed time, we will board the train back to Cusco. Upon your arrival at the train station, we will take you to your hotel.

At the agreed time, we will take you to the airport so that you can board your plane.
