In the afternoon, we will have a guided tour in Lima. At Lima downtown, we will visit Paseo de la República street, Plaza San Martín, Plaza Mayor (Lima's main square), the Governmental Palace, the Cathedral, the Archbishop's Palace, the Municipal Palace and ancient streets with colonial mansions and Moorish-style balconies. We will also visit San Francisco, where we can find the biggest collection of colonial art monuments in America. We will continue through Lima's residential areas and the Olivar in San Isidro. We will not miss the pre-Inca sanctuaries of Huallamarca and Pucllana. At the agreed time, we will take you to the airport so that you can board your plane to Arequipa, a colonial city at the foothills of Misti volcano. Upon arrival, we will be waiting for you to welcome you. In the afternoon, we will have a guided city tour of Arequipa, known as the "White City" because of the color of "sillar" (a white volcanic rock that was used to build ancient houses and churches). We will visit the Santa Catalina church and monastery, built in the XVIth century and opened to the public in 1970, after being restored. These monuments will take us back to colonial and republican times. Then we will head to Yanahuara mirador, where we will enjoy a magnificent view of the Misti protecting over the city. Early in the morning, we will head to Colca Canyon. We will make a stop at Pampa Cañahuas National Reserve (at 4'000 meters above sea level -13'123 ft). At the reserve, we will observe some vicuñas, the most rare and shy species among the South American camelids. We will continue through Chucchura and Patapampa, whose "Mirador de los Andes" offers an incredible view of the Chila mountain range, its snowy mountains Mismi (5'597 meters above sea level - 18'362 ft), Misti (5'825 meters above sea level - 19'110 ft), Chachani (6'075 meters above sea level - 18'362 ft) and its glaciers Ampato (6'288 meters above sea level - 20'629 ft), Sabancaya (5'976 meters above sea level - 19'606 ft). At the end, we will arrive at Colca, where we will transfer you to Casitas del Colca hotel. We will help you check-in and enjoy a nice lunch. Very early in the morning, we will head to one of the deepest point in the canyon, the mirador Cruz del Cóndor (at approximately 1'200 meters above sea level - 3'937ft). Here is where the condor, the biggest bird in the world, can be seen flying through the canyon. After lunch, we will go to Puno by bus. Upon arrival, we will transfer you to the exclusive property of Titilaka, situated in an isolated private peninsula. Surrounded by a spectacular Andean geography, the property's design fits perfectly into the environment. Far at the back, we can spot Lake Titicaca. Today we will enjoy a spectacular trip aboard the luxurious train Andean Explorer towards the city of Cusco. En route, we will marvel at beautiful landscapes and Andean mountains over the deep valleys sneaking through Huatanay river. We will also have the chance to observe some Andean camelids, such as vicuñas and alpacas. We will be seated in the observatory car, equipped with ample windows, so that you be in the perfect place to catch some of the quintessential Andean landscapes. Also, we will make a stop at "La Raya", the highest point in our route, to admire the snowy peaks of the Andes range. A gourmet lunch is included on board. In the morning, we will walk through the main tourist attractions in Cusco. The Cathedral exhibits the finest wood carvings, sophisticated altars and hundreds of canvases from the Cusco school (XVIIth century). We will continue towards the Temple of the Sun or Korikancha, where we will observe some authentic remains from the Inca culture and its deep knowledge of engineering. Then, we will head to Hatunrumiyoc street, where we will find the famous 12-angle stone. Then, we will visit the crafts neighborhood of San Blas, which still features cobblestone streets and workshops from the most famous artisans. This will be your chance to acquire some pieces of art. In the morning, at the agreed time, we will go to Maras' salt mines and Moray's amphitheater. At the salt mines, we will have an impressive view thanks to the color of the salt pans, which have existed since the Inca era. Salt is extracted from underground. Then we will head to Moray's amphitheater, where we will see a plethora of circular terraces that were used to adapt seeds to different microclimates. Next, we will go to Casa Hacienda Huayoccari to have lunch, relax and then continue our journey through the Sacred Valley. We will be welcomed by the owners with a complimentary pisco sour. Then we will have the opportunity to visit the facilities, admire the property's architecture and discover its private collection. We will enjoy a delicious meal while admiring an impressive view of the Sacred Valley. In the morning, we will take you to Ollantaytambo train station for you to board the luxurious train Hiram Bingham towards Aguas Calientes.
