We will pick you up at your hotel to go to Km 104, the trek's starting point. We will cross the suspension bridge over Urubamba river and walk by the archaeological remains of Chachabamba. Then, we will walk up to the magnificent archaeological complex of Wiñayhuayna (at 2'700 meters above sea level - 8'858 ft), nestled in the defying mountains over Urubamba river. En route, we will admire the typical flora of the region. We will continue our trek towards Inti Punku or the Gate of the Sun, where we will have a first look at the marvelous Inca citadel of Machu Picchu (at 2'475 meters above sea level - 8'120 ft). We will walk down to Aguas Calientes at approximately 17:00.

Early in the morning, we will take the bus up to Machu Picchu, Cultural Heritage of Humanity. We will enjoy a guided tour through the different enclosures of this wonderful Inca legacy. In the afternoon, we will return to Aguas Calientes to board the train back to Cusco. We will transfer you to your hotel.
