This activity consists on a 35-minute hike from Machu Picchu to the opposite side of the mountain. You will observe San Miguel bridge standing over Urubamba river. The bridge is part of the hydroelectric power plant, but it has turned into a bed of a dried-up lake due to El Niño. The bridge is an engineering masterpiece, carved in the rocks within the mountains, which was used to protect the sacred citadel.
