Activity description

This activity consists on visiting the ancient community of Willoc, where the community leaders will welcome us and show us around. We will visit the agricultural fields and participate in the activities. We will learn about their system of organization, the basis of their economy and their alpaca textile production workshops. We will take place in a traditional lunch, where we will taste some Andean ingredients, such as corn and potatoes with cheese (their basic food). There will be vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. We will also have the opportunity to see how the food is prepared, using some aromatic herbs. Then, we will visit a crafts workshop, where we will admire some pieces of art. We will finish our tour wandering around to observe more in detail the local's lifestyle. At the end, the community leader will make a toast with chicha (a traditional corn beverage from the Andes) and thank us for visiting the community. Then, he will give us a present as a token of his friendship and gratitude for having participated in the local activities. We will transfer you to the hotel of your choice in the Sacred Valley.
