Cola de Mono Lodge is situated in Chuntayoc, 2 km away from Santa Teresa district (15 km away from Machu Picchu), near Sacsara river. Zip-line is an extreme activity that consists of suspended cables hooked to the mountains, in which the user is propelled with the aid of a pulley attached to a waist-belt harness. The tour takes approximately 2 hours. The user leaves from and arrives at platforms on the ground or up high in the rocks. The maximum speed is 60 km/h. The activity begins with an orientation talk at the base camp, situated below the cables, so that the user knows what to expect from the activity. The tour begins with a 20-minute walk. The circuit consists of 6 cable sections. At the end of the circuit, the user walks back down to base camp, where the equipment is returned. The entrance fee includes a guide, who will make sure everything goes as expected, and the equipment (harness, helmet and gloves).
